It's rather a heightened depiction of what an object really is." - Curtis Verdum Abstract is a style of painting in which non-representational lines, colours, shapes and forms replace accurate visual depictions of objects, landscapes and figures. The subject is often stylised, blurred, repeated or broken down into basic forms so that it becomes unrecognisable. Intangible subjects such as thoughts, emotions and time are often expressed in abstract form.
