Kid
Z, is inspired by the Juxtaposition exhibition, "Pop World
meeting Third World", the painting based on a photograph
taken by Pete Stacey while traveling around india, depicts an
extremely poor boy who has been "popped" up but in
a sad way, illustrating the massive difference between the East
and West culture. The title being a play on Radioheads Kid A
album.
This is a real
original painting; it is not a print of any
kind digital or otherwise.
The painting
is in high-grade acrylic paint varnished with a matt spray varnish,
on a pure cotton box canvas. The canvas measures 24 inches x
30 inches on a box canvas of 2.5 inches deep, the sides of the
canvas are painted with a wrap around effect, no nails or staples
and ready to hang. |
