Gill emailed
me asking for a painting for her boyfriend of his grandmother,
his 'Ol Gal'.... now sounds quite simple, but the photo she
sent through was this amazing nearly blurred old photo of Ol
Gal doing a little pose for the camera. It is a great photo
to paint from but was a challenge as the photo was lacking alot
of detail that you get in modern photos, so instead of 'fake'
the detail we decided to make the painting have that old, nearly
ageless quality that the photo had, right down to having the
canvas the same dimension as the photo, overall it came out
so well and wes a massive pleasure to paint for her boy friend
(Jason i think!)... i love it! ... a bohemian beauty!
